abstract and translation by Egle Capilupi – The first important recognition for the Albino Armani Metodo Classico comes from Switzerland.
The prestigious Swiss review “Merum”, as a matter of fact, assigned the “ Trento doc 823 Brut”, two hearts, awarding the great efforts we have been making in mountain viticulture.
The Albino Armani “Trento doc 823”, indeed, is produced at our winery “Maso Michei”in Trentino, with 100% Pinot Nero grapes cultivated at a high altitude between 823 and 900 m a.s.l. at the feet of the Piccole Dolomiti in Trentino.
Just a brief note: “Merum”, this is the name of the prestigious Swiss review, was the latin word used by Romans to indicate the “sincere” wine distinguishing it from the ones mixed with other substances like water. In this case, in fact ,they preferred the word “vinum”.
In some regions in the south of Italy like Salento in Puglia, “lu mieru”means “vino” still today.
